  • Overview

    A Wiss client located in Fairfield, CT is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team.  The ideal candidate should have previous manufacturing experience and demonstrate a strong corporate accounting foundation, including consolidated entity reporting.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Review and approve accounts payable batches
    • Review and process expense reports
    • Review and process U.S. Custom payments on imported inventory
    • Prepare and maintain duty rates per importation license and product type
    • Assist in product and inventory costing
    • Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
    • Assist in month-end journal entry preparation
    • Handle all monthly input of journal entries
    • Assist with Monthly closing of company books
    • Prepare subsidiary accounting & associated consolidation schedules
    • Assist with year-end closing of company books and annual financial statement audit
    • Assist with yearly budget preparation process and strategic planning
    • Assist with analytical modeling


    • Minimum of four years of accounting & finance experience ideally in a manufacturing environment
    • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance.
    • MBA or CPA highly preferred
    • There will be 10% travel to New Jersey

    Technical Skills/Other

    • Understanding of GAAP and preferably exposure to IFRS
    • Polished communication
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
