  • Overview

    Wiss is looking to add a Director, State and Local Taxes to its growing team.  We will also consider a Manager level candidate.   The candidate will be based in Livingston, and will work with the firm’s Partners, Directors and Managers to provide first-class service to clients with state and local tax issues.  This is a great opportunity for a knowledgeable SALT expert looking to provide a high level of management and delivery of SALT services to clients.  The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical knowledge of state and local tax planning, consulting and compliance work.  The candidate MUST have experience in Tax compliance! 



    • Collaborate with firm management in identifying client issues and communicating with client personnel.
    • Participate with companies in analyzing state tax considerations related to business restructuring and transactions
    • Formulate and deliver innovative tax planning strategies
    • Research and consult on complex tax matters
    • Focus on development and growth of SALT projects
    • Supervise, mentor and develop staff members


    Position Requirements:

    • 8+ years related experience, with a focus in providing state and local tax consulting services
    • Bachelor Degree in Accounting
    • CPA and/or MST/MBA preferred
    • Background in both tax consulting and tax compliance
    • Proven ability to manage and grow strong client relationships
    • Highly motivated
    • Strong communication and tax research skills
