Wiss and Company is currently seeking a Receptionist for front desk administrative support for our construction client in New York City. This position is the main representative of the company, and provides a wide range of duties related to the day-to-day administrative operations.  The ideal candidate will have a team mentality, be dedicated, professional in demeanor, and eager to learn.



  • Receive visitors by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them professionally
  • Answer phones, screen and forward incoming calls appropriately
  • Receive and sort daily mail
  • Order front office supplies and keep inventory
  • Update calendars and schedule meetings
  • Arrange travel accommodations and prepare vouchers
  • Keep updated records of office expenses and costs
  • Perform other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and typing



  • High School diploma required
  • Certification in Office Management a plus
  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment such as fax machines and printers
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive as issues arise
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to multitask
  • Ability to present self and company in a professional manner
