Overview

Our CFO Advisory Group is expanding and looking for a Director-level professional to play a key role in its growth strategy.    The Director will develop findings and make strategic recommendations to clients, improving the performance of finance organizations by upgrading staff skills, redesigning processes and/or implementing new systems.  He or she will work closely with team members through time-sensitive projects by structuring work plans and managing the process through to completion.   This position requires the ability to work well with team members by providing oversight and training to enhance their growth potential. 

 

This is a great opportunity to work directly alongside the Advisory Group practice leader.  Your role will be critical in managing a team of top-tier professionals, while working with clients to improve their processes. 

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

 

  • Solid understanding of finance and accounting, with a background as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Finance Manager or Director
  • Strong financial modeling experience and solid understanding of financial statements – development of cash flows is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with refining organizational design; business process analysis and process mapping to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and control of transactional and decision support processes; consolidations and shortening of the financial close process; implementing financial close and account reconciliation technology; designing and implementing corporate performance management – budgeting, planning and forecasting processes and technology; accounting systems optimization; and improving management and external reporting


Additional requirements for this position:

 

  • 15-20 years’ related experience, with performance improvement operations, consulting, accounting diligence, and/or restructuring experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • MBA or other advanced degree or certification (CPA, CFA, etc.) preferred
  • Accounting systems implementation experience a plus
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and root cause determination skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Proven track record of strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
  • Action-oriented, decisive approach to work required, with the willingness to take a hands-on role to ensure deliverables are met on time with high quality
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project)
