Overview

As a Senior Accountant in our Forward group, your innovative ideas to develop efficiencies are both welcomed and encouraged. Additionally, primary responsibility will include working with clients and other Wiss team members, so having strong interpersonal skills is essential.

 

You will be trained by the FWRD Services Director, Carolyn Hall and the FWRD Services Manager, Floriana Allen

Opportunities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform the monthly accounting processes using cloud based software including oversight of FWRD team’s data entry analyst.
  • Properly classifying business transactions in the general ledger. Have a clear understanding of the transactions that create the financial statements and apply analytics as needed. 
  • Assist clients with document and reporting request. Create reports and dashboard that allow business owners insight to their financial position. 
  • Make recommendations to clients on their internal processes which will allow for a complete and efficient back office.

The ideal candidate should have 2 - 4 years of accounting experience and be technologically savvy, with an in-depth knowledge of:

  • Cloud Accounting Systems such as Intacct (preferred) and QuickBooks Online (required)
  • Cloud Accounting Applications such as Bill.com, Tallie, Expensify and other applications
  • Microsoft Office products, especially excel

In order to be successful in this role, strong organizational and analytical skills will be needed. A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and having a CPA license is preferred.
