As a core Staff Associate member of our Accounting and Auditing team you will have the opportunity to build relationships with people both internally and externally. You will have the opportunity to contribute to our office culture and maintain the values that are important to us. This Associate role will allow you to work on Audits, Reviews, Compilations and Taxes. These skills are designed to have you grow as a professional and have the background necessary to become a CPA.

What will your responsibilities entail?

  • Develop a working knowledge of various client businesses within a number of industries such as the Food Industry, Real Estate, Manufacturing and much, much more!
  • Proactively interact with fellow staff and external client personnel with confidence in order to help them gather information and resolve problems.
  • As opportunities arise you will be able to gain exposure through our rotational program into other departments such as Taxation, Outsourced Accounting, Advisory services and Litigation support.

What do you need to possess in order to be considered?

  • A candidate that is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Strong preference will be given to those who are:

o   Double major in Accounting and Information Systems (or related disciplines)
o   Majoring in Accounting and minoring in Information Systems (or related disciplines)

  • Internship experience within the public accounting industry is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, the ability to stay organized, and quickly prioritize assigned tasks.
  • Knowledge and experience with QuickBooks would be helpful, but is not a requirement for us.
  • You will need to have the strong desire to actively pursue the CPA license as this is crucial to you being recognized as a subject matter expert to your clients and will help you to brand yourself as an Audit and Accounting professional. A minimum of 150 college credits is needed in order to sit for the CPA exam.
